Armen and mezzo-soprano Solange Merdinian have collaborated on captivating performances that seamlessly blend their artistic talents and shared passion for storytelling through music. Highlighted by their participation in the inaugural Armen & Friends concert series, their partnership showcases an exceptional synergy, captivating audiences with emotionally charged interpretations and dynamic musicality. Together, they bring to life a diverse repertoire that reflects their deep appreciation for classical and contemporary music, leaving an unforgettable impression on listeners.

ARMEN & MARGARITA

Margarita Parsamyan is an operatic soprano, who has been praised for her “dusky timbre”, “dramatic projection” and for “poignantly carrying a great deal of drama” by Opera Wire and South Florida Classical Review. In addition to performing operatic pieces, Armen and Margarita went beyond the traditional classical repertoire and perform Russian Romance and Armenian classical and folk songs. Armen and Margarita are big advocates of Armenian cultural heritage and music, and constantly present recitals of Armenian music in South Florida.

ARMEN & KOSTIA

Armen and Kostia, a classically trained violinist, have united to create classical programs that bring together the piano and violin. Their energy and passion for music creates warm and engaging programs that captivate their audiences. These programs feature a range of pieces from the Baroque, Classical, and Romantic periods and feature unique genre-busting interpretations of pieces from Antonio Vivaldi, Camille Saint-Saens, Alan Silvestri, and John Williams. Together, their repertoire is like no other. These University of Miami Frost School of Music students work to incorporate their Armenian and Ukrainian heritages into their performances, highlighting the importance of embracing one’s culture.
